Slope planting & revegetation
Deep-rooting planting that binds the face and becomes the permanent surface treatment.
What it does
Vegetation is long-term slope reinforcement: root systems bind the face and foliage breaks the impact of rain before it reaches the soil. We plant deep-rooting species suited to the slope, soil and exposure, usually over biodegradable matting that holds the surface while the plants establish. Often specified alongside engineered works as the permanent finish.

How the work runs
Every stage is matched to the engineer’s design and the conditions found on the face.

Species and layout
Deep-rooting species are selected for the slope angle, soil and exposure, and set out at spacings that will close cover.

Ground preparation
The face is prepared and biodegradable matting fixed where the surface needs holding while roots establish.
- 03
Planting
Plants go in through the matting, on rope access where the face is too steep to stand on.
- 04
Establishment care
Plants are released from weeds and replaced as needed through the establishment period, until the cover is self-sustaining.
